McLeod Estate is a former slave plantation on James Island, South Carolina. It is located near the confluence of Folly and Maybank roads at Wappoo Creek, which runs into the Ashley River. The plantation is a significant Gullah heritage site that has been conserved because of its cultural and historical value to both African-American and European-American civilizations.
