Is Kiawah Island accessible to the general public?

Kiawah Island is available to the public; if you don't mind riding or walking, you can visit numerous sites without staying on the island or purchasing a guest permit. Simply turn right off Kiawah Island Parkway onto Beachwalker Drive just before the first security gate.

Is Beachwalker Park dog-friendly?

Dogs are welcome on the beach all year, however there are periodic leash restrictions. Dogs must be leashed at all times from March 16 to October 31. Dogs are allowed to be off-leash from November 1 to March 15. The owner must keep their pet under control and have a leash on them at all times.

When does Kiawah Island open for business?
